Custom Orthotics help relieve pain

We believe in a holistic approach to dealing with foot pain. In addition to general foot care and surgery, we offer custom orthotics to help correct posture, prevent foot strain and give you walking comfort.

How do orthotics help?

Custom foot orthotics help relieve continuous pain by restoring normal foot function and regaining your body’s natural balance. In general, an orthotic controls each phase of the walking cycle, from the moment your heel hits the ground, until your toes push off.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics often provide great relief for:

  • Heel pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Posterior tibial tendonitis
  • Arthritis
  • Bunions
  • Stress fractures
  • Capsulitis
  • Shin splints
  • Hammertoes
  • Nerve impingements

How do you fit a custom orthotic?

  1. Podiatrist prescribes orthotics.
  2. A stance and gait analysis needs to be performed.
  3. Computer mat scanning and foam box molds are taken when the patient is weight bearing. These weight bearing molds capture the foot when it is in a totally collapsed state and often in the position that is causing pain. Therefore these techniques are not used by our podiatrists.
  4. Non-weight bearing plaster molds are taken with each foot in a neutral, aligned position.

What are your orthotics made of?

High temperature thermoplastic or foam rubber (polypropylene, carbon fiber, EVA, Nickeplast, neoprene, etc).

Will they fit in my shoes?

Orthotics can be made to fit multiple pairs of shoes or for a specific purpose.

Do you make orthotics for children?

Our doctors are trained to diagnose and treat children’s foot problems by careful examination of the foot and lower limb. We treat common, chronic and acute problems like developmental problems, intoed gait, knock knees and flat feet. Our doctors may prescribe orthotics to help in these areas.

Orthotics guarantee

Your custom orthotics are carefully engineered for your feet. They generally last between three to five years. We want you to be happy with your orthotics and guarantee your satisfaction.
